The World as my Backyard

I studied abroad in the Spring of 2011 in Seville, Spain. I learned more about language, culture, and life than I could possibly imagine. Thanks to the Gilman Scholarship, I was able to afford studying abroad and traveling much of my weekends. When I returned I had an evanescent flavor that began fading away and I knew I wanted to dive back into a new culture. However, because I was given so much, this time I was going to give back for all that I have received.

Istanbul, Turkey... the beginning

Today, I'm making my way to Istanbul, Turkey... otherwise known as Constantinople.
This county is huge in history, it's where the east meets the west, where Europe meets Asia, and actually a temporary home to all of my cousins in the past.

This trip was really spontaneous, and I really never even thought about going in the first place. I literally decided to go here in the mater of minutes. After using cheap european airlines, I was able to get a ticket to Istanbul round trip in a week for cheaper than I get tickets within Texas round trip with 3 months in advance. RIDICULOUS!!

I'm going with 6 other friends, and we're going to try to do it ALL and leave nothing out. It is time to bargain for fake rolex's and fake Locaste shirts, Fake oakley's, and so on...

My HighLife in Sevilla, Spain

I have been planning this trip for the past few years... Check out what I'm doing, what I've done... and all the more things about to do.

I created this website insight of The Gilman Scholarship... so I thank them for all the help they have given me.
